Little House in the Big Jungle

homesweethomeviaitslifeaidshe My parents built our house. No, not the photo above, but the original plan (as I remember hearing about it) was that the house would span the ravine that ran through the center of our acre by the water. An acre filled with ivy, and our log cabin perched in the middle.

When I saw this photo, it reminded me of the mental image I'd had in my head of what that house would have looked like. Only we lived in the Pacific Northwest and would have needed walls. But isn't that little nest hanging below just heavenly.

That would have been my room. Obviously.
