Stumbled across this post on the Kravet blog yesterday. In a much more expensive version of "fantasy design" than mine, Thomas O'Brien and Veranda magazine partnered up to create a room based on the movie "Someone To Watch Over Me" for Design Visions: Cinema Style. O'Brien is one of my all-time favorite designers, and I was excited to see his work here.
I'm loving the striped (or is it plaid?) drapes, the pair of benches, the gray-washed coffee table (great shape!) and the pretty rug. But what really blows me away are the gorgeous bookshelves! It looks to me like they are upholstered and trimmed with brass nailheads. Plus the styling is spot-on (one of the benefits of fantasy clients is the book spines can be whatever colors you want them to be!). I also love that he doesn't shy away from displaying the TV.
What do you think? And don't forget to check out the other side of the room too!
