Bachelor Pad: Phase One

It's been a few weeks but I finally have an update for the bachelor pad project! Matt and I (with some muscle from Ryan) moved around his existing furniture and I made a few vetoes. Matt still has a bit of decluttering to do, but we went ahead and started hanging art this weekend. Next up is Phase Two. We have a few furniture purchases to make (that coffee table's days are numbered!) and a LOT of accessories and textiles to bring in. Can't wait to see it all come together.

The giant brown sofa has to stay (I squint and pretend it's a Chesterfield). We started a gallery-style cluster around the TV to help it disappear a bit. New curtains to be determined, and a new and lighter coffee table is on the shopping list.

The pocket doors will be closed, but here you can see how the living room and bedroom connect (they both open to the hallway entry as well).

We'll be using this antique dresser as a bar area and extra storage (plus the mirror helps bounce light around the room).

Can't wait to kick off the next phase! Once Matt makes some of the next purchases we'll be back to share. More lighting, more color, more pattern, and more fabric. It's gonna be good.
