I was browsing 1st Dibs the other day for textiles, and found an amazing selection of gorgeous antique quilts. I love quilts. They are such a great example of the creativity and talents of women generations before us. The intricate designs that appear to have dimension are particularly amazing. I especially enjoy seeing common motifs or patterns repeated and reimagined (in many ways, that is what interior designers do, only on a full room scale). I have a simple quilt from my dad's side of the family (you can kind of see it here) but these vary from pretty basic repeating patterns to complex patterns to freeform crazy quilts. And all of them would look great in a modern home. Shop all 1st Dibs quilts here.

Do you have any quilts (family or otherwise)? Do you like them as much as I do?
