Needlepoint

I'm having what you might call a "moment" with needlepoint pillows. I'm kind of obsessed with finding the perfect one for our living room.

I spotted a few vintage ones on Etsy the other day...

This flower one is pretty.

And if this tiger wasn't only 12 inches I'd snap it up!

There were also lots of kits and patterns that caught my eye. I've never done needlepoint before, but I've done embroidery, so it wouldn't be TOO steep a learning curve I don't think.

These Audubon kits are pretty. Though I wonder what Ryan wouldn't about spending $100 on a pillow that I still have to stitch myself...

Flamingo...

And Blue Heron...

And some needlepoint patterns of adapted masterpiece paintings are the perfect kind of funky-eclectic for our place I think.

Love those lions peeking out from the jungle.

Do you have any experience with needlepoint? Will it be pretty learn-able, or will I be in tears?

Anyone else being drawn to these kind of granny-chic items like me?
